A picture book by Brenda Oney Morris

The Bubblegum Tree

What if gumballs grew on trees? Troy and his grandpa plant one to find out. Along the way, Troy learns a few things about patience, faith, and what to do when a good season comes to an end.

About the story

Troy loves helping Grandpa in the garden. One day, tucked away in the shed, he finds a small, colorful box. Inside is the seed of a bubblegum tree. Grandpa isn't sure it will grow. They plant it anyway.

So begins a story about waiting, about believing in what you can't see yet, and about finding out that a tree can still be beautiful after the gumballs are gone.

It's a picture book for young readers, and for the grandparents and parents who read with them.
